ACEN RES, partners bring aid to quake victims in Cebu

24 October 2025 – ACEN Renewable Energy Solutions (RES), with its partners and the Ayala Foundation, delivered essential aid to 200 families in Brgy. Villahermosa, Tabuelan, Cebu, following the magnitude 6.9 earthquake that struck the province on September 30.

The aid benefited residents whose homes suffered partial or total damage. This effort is part of a larger, consolidated disaster response initiative of #BrigadangAyala of the Ayala group.

ACEN RES volunteers personally distributed the care packages to the quake survivors on Tuesday,  October 21. The kits were packed with essential items, including ready-to-eat food, water, towels, slippers, and sleeping essentials—specifically, mats and pillows generously supplied by Sleep Specialist Uratex.

“We are profoundly grateful for the immediate response of our volunteers and partners with whom we affirmed our common values and a shared commitment to respond to the needs of our communities,” said Shiela Mina, Vice President and Head of Account Management at ACEN.

The relief efforts were also made possible through the generous contributions of other ACEN RES customers: Ajinomoto Philippines, M. Lhuillier Foods, Seaking, Cermatex, and the Penshoppe Group.

Tabuelan, along with other northern Cebu municipalities such as Bogo, San Remigio, Madellin, Tabogon, Daanbantayan, Bantayan Island, and Borbon, was among the communities reached by the Ayala group’s post-disaster relief efforts,  a collective show of solidarity with affected families working to rebuild their lives from the quake.
