Sitting on more than 300 hectares of land, the 405 MW Ninh Thuan solar farm is one of the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia. With both of its facilities already in operation, the solar plant delivers around 600 million KWh of renewable power per year to Vietnam’s national grid.

ACEN’s first greenfield project in Vietnam

The commissioning of ACEN’s first greenfield project in Vietnam, Ninh Thuan Solar deepens the company’s involvement in the country’s energy sector to contribute to an environmentally sustainable future.

Co-developed with Vietnam’s BIM Group, one of the leading private groups in Vietnam, with businesses spanning real estates development and operations, renewable energy, aquaculture and foods, and consumer and lifestyles, the solar farm’s inauguration was led by Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Ninth Thuan Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Thanh, Ninh Thuan Chairman of People’s Committee, Luu Xuan Vinh, Ayala Corporation President and Chief Operating Officer Fernando Zobel de Ayala, and BIM Group Chairman Doan Quoc Viet.

Ninh Thuan Solar reaches 1 billion kWh output

20 July 2021 – Through AC Energy’s transformational partnerships with key energy players, the company’s renewables footprint continues to expand rapidly to include some of the most notable developments in Vietnam to date.

The company’s maiden project in the country, the 405 MW Ninh Thuan solar farm, is one of the largest solar farms in Southeast Asia. Developed together with the BIM Group and energized in 2019, the solar farm recently reached a significant milestone with 1 billion kWh output, clocking in 183,682 man hours for a sterling performance on health and safety with zero lost time due to accident.
