Reforestation efforts through cultivation of productive plants Rice and coffee agrotourism thrives in Salak & Darajat Geothermal, opening livelihood opportunities for the Purwabakti and Tansumi community and increasing the yearly income of family-beneficiaries by 30% in 2022. Through cultivation of productive plants such as coffee, the agrotourism program encourages the community to also restore forest areas previously affected by illegal logging in Mount Halimun Salak National Park area.
Improving literary in rural communities We acknowledge that education brings out the community’s best potential as they dream of a better future. In helping fund STAR Energy’s literacy program, we also contribute to the improvement of Indonesia’s rural literary by supporting the Taman Pamekar Library, where students from rural communities can continue offline and online learning amid the pandemic.

17 January 2018 - The acquisition by the consortium of ACEN, Star Energy Geothermal Pte. Ltd., and Electricity Generating Public Company Ltd. of the Chevron geothermal facilities in Indonesia received multiple recognitions from four major financial research firms in Southeast Asia.
