ACEN clinches 4 Golden Arrows for the third consecutive year, cementing its governance leadership

18 November 2025 – ACEN has once again been recognized for its unwavering commitment to good corporate governance, earning 4 Golden Arrows from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) at the 2025 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) Golden Arrow Awards held recently in Okada Manila Hotel.

This marks the third consecutive year that ACEN has received 4 Golden Arrows, a testament to its consistent adherence to best-in-class corporate governance practices as it leads the energy transition in the Asia Pacific.

ACEN was among the 116 publicly listed companies (PLCs) recognized by the ICD this year, and one of only 17 PLCs to achieve the coveted 4 Golden Arrows distinction.

ACEN joins other Ayala companies in this year’s honors: Ayala Corporation and Globe with 5 Golden Arrows each; AyalaLand, BPI, and Integrated Microelectronics, Inc (IMI) with 4 Golden Arrows each; and AREIT, Inc and AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp., each with 3 Golden Arrows; and ENEX Energy Corp with 1 Golden Arrow. This reinforces the Ayala group’s legacy of responsible and sustainable business leadership.

Dodjie Lagazo, ACEN’s Group General Counsel and Compliance Officer, said: “This recognition from the ICD reaffirms that our governance principles remain steadfast even as ACEN pursues bold growth across multiple jurisdictions. For us, governance is not a mere compliance exercise – it is a strategic mindset that enables ambition and ensures that scale and sustainability go hand in hand.  At ACEN, growth and good governance are not opposing goals; they co-exist to create sustainable impact.”

The ICD evaluates companies across key dimensions, such as protection and equitable treatment of shareholders, engagement with stakeholders, transparency and accountability through timely and accurate disclosures of material information, and the Board’s effectiveness in providing strategic direction, overseeing management, and ensuring organizational accountability.

Companies may earn up to five Golden Arrows depending on their ACGS and Corporate Governance Scorecard performance, reflecting the degree to which they uphold international standards of good governance.
