Acquired in early 2024, the 38 MW Chestnut Flats Wind located near Altoona, Pennsylvania is our second project in the U.S.A., where we have partnered with PivotGen and UPC Solar & Wind through our joint venture, UPC Power Solutions. The joint venture aims to acquire operating wind projects in the U.S.A. and explore strategies for extending their useful life, reinforcing ACEN’s commitment to sustainable development and approach to circularity. The acquisition of Chestnut Flats brings the UPC Power Solutions’ renewables portfolio to over 170 MW across multiple states in the U.S.A.

    UPC Power Solutions completes purchase of 38 MW wind project from EDF Renewables North America Jan. 23, 2024 – UPC Power Solutions, a joint venture between ACEN, PivotGen and UPC Solar & Wind Investments, announced today the completion of its purchase agreement with EDF Renewables North America. The closing of this agreement involves the purchase of the lessee interests in the 38 MW Chestnut Flats operating wind project located near Altoona, PA.
