ACEN donates 2 school buildings to address classroom shortage in Palauig, Zambales
ACEN, through its Palauig Solar projects, demonstrated its unwavering support to education and community development after donating a total of ₱29 million to fund the construction of 14 classrooms in Rofulo M. Landa High School – extension campus in Brgy. Bulawen, Palauig, Zambales.
ACEN president and CEO Eric Francia joined Zambales governor Jun Ebdane, Palauig mayor Billy Aceron, and Botolan mayor Omar Ebdane during the recent turnover ceremony of a newly constructed building, which is composed of eight classrooms.

Solar energy co-exists with agriculture through ACEN’s agrivoltaics program
Our Palauig Solar 1 in Zambales is among our five solar farms across the Philippines that implement the ”Solar Gulayan” agrivoltaics program, which combines solar power and agriculture to improve local food security while generating renewable energy.
Through the program, we have harvested more than to 1,700 kilos of crops since its pilot farming system. As the solar farms generate an aggregate renewables capacity of 326 MW, the program ensures that available land within the solar plants are optimized for agriculture and food production.

Advocating education resiliency Through its Brigada Eskwela program, Palauig Solar 1 continues to support the students of its host community in Palauig, Zambales by donating heavy-duty printers, various printing supplies, and healthcare kits to five elementary schools within its two host barangays. Beneficiaries for this program include indigenous children who live in the Mr. Pinatubo resettlement area. Through this program, we make sure our host communities’ learners are ready as classrooms reopen in a post-pandemic world.
Renewable Energy Advocacy Program Through it's Renewable Energy Advocacy Program, the 63 MW Palauig 1 Solar farm in Zambales installed solar-powered streetlights across it's host municipality — improving security and strengthening community ties.
ACEN pilots circular approach in new Alaminos and Palauig solar plants
Ayala Corporation’s power arm, ACEN, has started to integrate a circular approach in its renewable energy developments to help reduce the environmental impact in its construction sites and its host communities. In Zambales and Laguna, AC Energy is constructing two solar power plants, the 120 MW Alaminos and 63 MW Palauig plants, with the installation of solar panels already in full swing.
